Teknos opens own sales company in Slovenia

Finnish paint manufacturer Teknos has signed a contract to acquire Slovenian paint distributor DO-RAL and establish a new sales company, Teknos d.o.o. The new company begins operations on September 1. Dominik Zupan, owner of DO-RAL, has remained a minority shareholder in the new company.
Before the acquisition DO-RAL acted as sales agent for Teknos selling industrial wood paints to local door, window, and furniture manufacturers. The co-operation started in 2004. DO-RAL has also invested marketing the Teknos brand in Slovenia. Zupan has been nominated as managing director in the new company and the personnel from DO-RAL will move to the new company. Teknos plans to strengthen the organization in Slovenia and widen its product range to cover paints and coatings for the metal industry.
The company will move to bigger premises near Ljubljana where there will be a large warehouse, technical facilities and tinting service.
