Sika Purchases the UK-based Iotech Group
Industrial Copolymers, manufacturer of high-performance resins and polymers for the coatings, adhesives and sealants industries, is pleased to announce its acquisition by Sika – 1 billion global company with a worldwide network of subsidiaries active in the fields of speciality chemicals for construction and industry.
Since 1986, Industrial Copolymers’ product range has been exported across the world and includes oxazolidines, waterborne epoxy curing agents and waterborne polyurethane dispersions. The company was previously owned by the Iotech Group and has a sister company – Incorez – in the USA. As of January 26, 2009 Sika took ownership of the entire group.

The last 5 year have seen tremendous growth for Industrial Copolymers, which has led to the company becoming the world’s leading manufacturer of specialist oxazolidine additives for the polyurethane coatings and sealants markets.
