Van Son Holland Ink Corporation, a leading global printing ink manufacturer known around the world for producing high quality, high performance inks for every offset press, announced today it has added Vs Zero, a new vegetable-based ink, to its Vs Series ink line.

Vs Zero ink is 100 percent volatile organic compounds-free (VOC), and contains no petroleum solvents or mineral oils. This high intensity ink is both GraCol 7 and DIN ISO 2846-1 compliant, offering printers the optimal preconditions to achieve DIN ISO 12647-2 compliance. Van Son’s Vs Zero ink is formulated for straight printing and 4 + 4 perfecting presses to deliver the Van Son quality and convenience the company is known for while setting the standard for today’s earth friendly environments.

The introduction of Vs Zero ink is part of Van Son’s strategy to add the option of completely VOC-free printing to the trusted Vs Series ink line. While the ink was developed to answer the demand for environmental responsibility, it also caters to a printer’s quest for quality. Van Son’s Vs Zero ink yields both high print contrast, and high water tolerance. The sustainable ink is characterized by an outstanding gloss, extremely fast setting times, excellent rub resistance, and superb dot sharpness. Engineered for trouble-free printing, the ink responds to both aqueous and UV coating.
