Phoseon technology delivers smaller, lighter LED curing lamps

Article Type: New products From: Pigment & Resin Technology, Volume 41, Issue 4

Phoseon Technology introduces a new design for the FireFly FF200 25×20 mm and 50×20 mm UV LED curing products. This new 4 W/cm2 air-cooled product provides an ideal solution for customers by providing a small body frame for full cure applications addressing space constraints in printers.

FireFly products are suitable for digital inkjet, adhesives and small area curing applications where the simple and fast curing of heat-sensitive substrates is vitally important.

Utilizing Phoseon’s patented SLM Technology, the FireFly FF200 provides customers with the following benefits:

  • air-cooled (seamless integration);

  • single connector for data/power;

  • small form factor (small footprint);

  • low maintenance; and

  • 4 W/cm2 peak irradiance.

While bringing the three-tiered benefits of UV LED curing (economic savings, environmentally friendly and new systems capability), Phoseon’s products add additional capability with high performance, maximum UV energy and outstanding reliability for customer’s tough curing environments.

The new FireFly FF200 25×20 mm and 50×20 mm products will be available Q2’12 in both 395 and 365 nm wavelengths. These new products will be on display at the upcoming Drupa Trade Fair in Dusseldorf, Germany at the Phoseon stand 9A46.
