Editor's letter

Article Type: Editor’s letter From: Strategy & Leadership, Volume 36, Issue 5

In this issue of Strategy & Leadership you’ll find a number of articles and columns about co-creating value with customers. Some companies adopting this groundbreaking strategy offer websites where they engage in conversations with customers about products and how they are used. Over time the companies learn to convert their customers’ ideas and experiences into better products and services. The process can help businesses anticipate the evolving needs of their customers, a win/win for consumers and innovators.

We thought it’s time we put some of these ideas into practice in our own operations. So we are launching our first online survey of Strategy & Leadership reader preferences. We assume you are interested in the general topic of strategic management and leadership. And we want to get your reaction to the articles and columns in this issue. But in addition we want to know more about what specific articles and topics you would like to see in print. We want to hear from everyone who reads S&L – subscribers, occasional readers, even first-time readers.

The link below is to a survey website with a distinctly non-corporate but cheerful name, SurveyMonkey. The link to the S&L survey on the SurveyMonkey site is www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=QYs_2b4NpfdISaFh6L28oW7A_3d_3d

Our Strategy & Leadership survey will ask you what you think of the articles in this issue, what topics you would like to see addressed in the future and a few questions about your background. Total time to complete the survey is around five minutes. Your opinions and suggestions will inform our search for articles for future issues that will be interesting and useful to you, and we will email you a copy of the survey results.

So here is your chance to co-create unique value by sharing your opinions with the Editor and the Contributing Editors. Tell us what you think.

We look forward to hearing from you
