The simplest way to acquire digital images

The Multi range of frame grabbers now integrates the simplest way to acquire digital images. Thanks to the Euresys' Camera Link input module, the Eurecard Multi offers you all its power (up to two DSPs with two libraries available) to acquire images according to the newest standard. It gives you the simplicity of a standard connection, the low cost and easiness of standard cables and the power of a high-speed serial mode transmission (see Plate 7).

The Euresys' Dual Camera Link input module brings you the advantages of digital cameras: quality, image stability, high resolution. That is increased by the simplicity of a standard: fewer wires (26 instead of up to 100) to achieve the same data rate or higher and longest cables (even over than 10m).

Plate 7 Simplicity of a standard connection, the low cost and easiness of standard cables and the power of a high-speed serial mode transmission are possible with the Eurecard Multi

These 26 wires are composed of 11 differential lines and four shield connections. Up to two cameras can be connected on two Camera Link compliant connectors to acquire images simultaneously on both separated unidirectional channels. This feature prevents any "signal latency", encountered on bi-directional serial buses. Tree DB9 connectors are available on an extra bracket: the first one for the insulated I/O lines, acquiring trigger and strobe and two serial connectors duplicating the camera serial control ports. Different cameras can be connected: up to two monochrome cameras (8, 10 or 12 bits per pixel), up to two monochrome dual-tap cameras (8 bits per pixel), one monochrome four-tap camera (8 bits per pixel), one RGB camera (24 bits per pixel) or two multiplexed RGB cameras (24 bits per pixel).

Most major camera manufacturers will or have already launched new Camera Link compliant and Euresys has actively participated to this emerging standard offering a Camera Link acquisition board, the Multi and its Dual Camera Link Input Module.
