Over 3,000 Londoners visited construction sites around the capital and experienced first hand the impact of engineering and construction in the capital as part of the OpenSite initiative on 18-19 September 2004. Progress Network, the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE) group for young engineers and consultants under 35, organised OpenSite by teaming up with London Open House, London's biggest annual live architecture event, to give the public the opportunity to visit high-profile construction sites around the capital.
