The Indium Corporation of Europe has appointed Tony Howard as field sales engineer (Plate 1). Based in Gourock, Scotland, Tony's role will be to support Indium's growing customer base in Scotland and Europe.

Previously based at COMPAQ for the past 41Ž2 years in the capacity of senior printed circuit assembly process engineer at their Erskine, PCA facility, Tony brings to Indium a wealth of SMT and related technology experience, having coordinated COMPAQ's technical activities and served on their worldwide technical committee.
Indium's European sales manager, David Preische states "Tony's appointment will strengthen our relationship with the Scottish manufacturers. He is a renowned expert in the field of SMT, having conducted DEK ProFlow analyses, reflow system evaluations, solder paste trials, BGA process implementation and the introduction of assembly and repair process".
