Clariant launches two new powder coating additives offering unique opportunities to transform surface aesthetics and achieve outstanding performance and protection.
New wax additive Ceridust® 6050 M presents a pioneering advance in surface adhesion without compromising on high-level protection and aesthetics. The micronized polypropylene wax offers its unrivalled combination of effects for powder coatings thanks to the narrow molecular weight distribution created by Clariant’s exclusive Metallocene Technology platform:
New PTFE-free structuring agent Licocene® PE MA 4351 FG enables the creation of powder coatings with unique structuring effects, matt finishes and exceptional edge covering for all-round surface protection. Based on Clariant’s exclusive Metallocene Technology platform, the fine grain, maleic anhydride modified polyethylene (PE) wax additive offers an unmatched combination of benefits:
“Both Licocene PE MA 4351 and Ceridust 6050 M bring a step-change in performance to the powder coatings market with their unique improvement capabilities,” comments Tobias Niederleitner, Technical Marketing Manager at Clariant. “From now on, coatings’ manufacturers no longer need to compromise on effects such as structured surfaces, degassing and adhesion improvement when developing high performance powder coatings. We were delighted to introduce these exciting new innovations to European Coatings Show 2011 visitors.”
