Journal of Public Mental Health focuses on the research, policy and practice that put mental well-being at the heart of the public health agenda. Public mental health can be described as the art, science and politics of creating a mentally healthy society.
Journal of Public Mental Health provides a forum for dissemination and debate on all aspects of public mental health. It aims to develop the theory underpinning public mental health, and expand our knowledge of best practice in mental health promotion. While the journal has a strong focus on the United Kingdom and Ireland, the Editor also welcomes papers based on work undertaken internationally.
The journal brings together material from a wide range of disciplines and sectors, including:
Colleagues across all sectors have a contribution to make to policy, practice and new thinking about public mental health. The journal is a valuable resource for people working in research, in education, in health authorities and health boards, primary care, public health and health promotion, local government, policy analysis, town planning, the voluntary and community sector, and in all areas of mental health, including within the user/survivor movement.
