Abstract

Home‐based working is at last moving into the mainstream. Advances in technology – in both capacity and price – mean it is now a practical proposition for a number of workers. Argues that a sales team offers obvious potential candidates for homeworking but points out issues that need to be addressed, especially by the team leader/sales manager if communication and motivation are to remain high. If such issues are not addressed, team productivity will decrease.
