Abstract

This article explores older people's priorities for health and social care, noting a close relationship between those systems and the role to be played by housing services as the third vital branch of care. The article frames the debate within the context of the reforms of the NHS and social care, which provide an opportunity to ensure that services take account of the needs of the whole person on a multi‐disciplinary basis.
