From the past to the present

history never lies

Unfortunately

the standard of the “ideal professional”

the standard of the “ideal accountant”

the standard of the “ideal leader”

is white, male, cisgender, heterosexual, patriarchal

For men, higher positions

For us women, inferior positions

Plural trajectories, with many pains

and suffering

The woman accountant is rejected from the first moment

How much torment—

undervalued

underrepresented

constantly silenced?

There is sexism in companies

There is sexism in Accounting Sciences

The female voice does not echo in many coordinations

The female presence does not reach many high echelons

But we remain in the fight

Why be a woman in these spaces?

It's about insisting—

Resist

fight

to exist in the accounting profession
