Walking the bottom line

Article Type: Literature and insights From: Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Volume 27, Issue 5.

Your company is right on the money
And stays out of trouble
When everyone in the company
Is held accountable.

Making everyone accountable
Helps you know where
Challenges are insurmountable
And ethical failures might occur.

In other words:
Without accountability
There is a possibility
For bottom-line mentality
To have ethics as its fatality.

Therefore:
Make sure that all of the tricks
Hit your code-of-ethics bricks
And
Fortify your ethics wall
With proper sanctions and control.

Otherwise:
You would leave your ethics code
In the neutral mode
And feel fine
Resting on your bottom line.
