System 3R "Macro" workholding system

System 3R has produced a new comprehensive brochure for their expanding "Macro" workholding pallet system ­ reputed to be the most accurate and quick changeover device for machine tool set-up. The range, including Macro-P (High Performance), MacroStandard, Macro Junior and now MacroCombi suits the very diverse industry requirements ­ corrosion resistance, exceptional torsional strength, versatility ­ suitable for die-sinking EDM, Wire EDM, milling, grinding, drilling and all other metal-cutting machines.

Included within the full-colour 16-page brochure are details on the new "MacroCombi" chuck that enables EDM operators to use two different sizes of electrode holders in the same chuck ­ without the need of any adaptors.

Fully illustrated, the brochure explains clearly how the expanding "Macro" family works together to provide manufacturing companies with a universal reference system that gives endless possibilities for moving electrodes and workpieces between the various production machines. Its unique "3R" reference system enables quick, accurate and consistent location of the X, Y and Z references, relative to the machines' reference coordinate axes, thereby reducing tool set-up from hours to just minutes.

"Macro" is entirely compatible with all System 3R's range, allowing easy integration into production centres whether manual, automatic, palletised or fully robotic. A roundup of the range of System 3R robotic systems and accompanying computer software is also given.
