ICI has produced new posters to provide the latest information on the safe and effective use of chlorinated solvents.
One poster, a detailed version for display in the UK, outlines safety rules for the use of ICI chlorinated solvents and covers three main areas: general safety precautions, first aid measures and instructions for users of metal cleaning plants.
A poster designed specifically for world-wide use sets out the dos and don'ts of handling "Triklone", "Perklone" and "Methoklone", aided by the use of drawings, universal symbols and primary colours for good visibility.
Good ventilation, correct drum storage, and the use of correct personal protective equipment especially when entering a metal cleaning plant are the salient points on these posters; first aid instructions are included and the use of the chemical safety data sheet strongly advised.
