Pilot takes control of the oldest aeronautical society

Keith Mans, former Vulcan pilot and Member of Parliament, succeeds Ron Kennett as director of The Royal Aeronautical Society.

On taking office Keith Mans said "Along side its considerable reputation within the aerospace community, one of the Society's main strengths is its worldwide membership. I want to build on these strengths by using modern methods of communication, as well as informing the wider community of the contributions the Society can make towards the cause of aerospace in the new millennium".
