WaveForm DSP2 is a powerful tool for creating complex waveforms and downloading them to Wavetek Arbitrary Waveform Generators (Arbs). Waveforms can also be uploaded from Wavetek Arbs for editing.
Waveforms can be created using any combination of drawing, math expression, digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) upload, arbitrary waveform generator upload, and insertions from a library of waveforms or from data values from other applications such as Microsoft Excel® . The standard Windows® interface makes cutting, copying, pasting, and editing sections of waveforms easy. Waveform DSP2 has a powerful digital signal processing engine based on array mathematics for handling complex waveform creation and analysis.
WaveForm DSP2 switches easily between time and frequency domains. Powerful editing, drawing, and library features are available in either domain. For example, capture a signal with a DSO, upload to WaveForm DSP2, and view the waveform in the waveform in the frequency domain to analyze its frequency content. You can add frequency spurs, change frequency content, or manipulate phase relationships. Then switch to the time domain and view your new waveshape.
A library of waveforms is included with WaveForm DSP2. And it is easy to add waveforms to the library as you create them. Simply create a waveform you want to include, type a unique waveform name, and select Add from the library functions.
Behind the easy, intuitive, graphical user interface is the strength of a full-featured Digital Signal Processing package. This tool kit lets you combine waveforms by adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and concatenating. It also has trigonometric and logarithmic functions.
Download to Wavetek Arbitrary Waveform Generators. Any waveform you create can be used in the real world. WaveForm DSP2 can quickly download the waveforms you create to any of Wavetek' s powerful arbitrary waveform generators via either GPIB or RS-232. From your Wavetek arb you can then output the waveform required to simulate the real world signal required for your application.
