FLS Aerospace A/S has entered into a two-year contract with charter operator Novair (Nova Airlines AB) at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm. The contract is for light maintenance of the three Lockheed L1011 aircraft, which Novair operate on their extensive Far Eastern network and to other exotic destinations. The contract commenced on 1 April this year, and has been won after Novair approved the newly-established Swedish FLS Aerospace facilities and organisation.

The new contract, which has a value of at least DKK 32 million (GBP 3 million), is the latest in a number of contracts which FLS Aerospace A/S has obtained. The FLS Aerospace Group has supported Novair with their A320 aircraft, and this partnership has now been extended to also include their Lockheed L1011 Tristars.

"These developments are a direct result of customers being satisfied after our first full year of operation, and therefore they are of great importance to the company and its employees", said Jens Hedegaard, CEO of FLS Aerospace A/S, commenting on this contract award. He continued, "Nothing pleases me more than welcoming Novair as a customer in our new maintenance facility at Arlanda. The Arlanda facility is a new venture in the continuing development of our Prime Maintenance Organisation (PMO™) business philosophy through which FLS Acrospace provides its partner airlines with innovative and cost effective maintenance services. The development of the FLS Aerospace PMO™ is having a dramatic and positive impact on the evolution of the airline full support market in Europe."
