The Yokogawa ELR Series is a new generation of high-performance pen recorders with built-in floppy disk drives for the digital transfer of recorded data to a PC for further data analysis or archiving.
The new recorders are available with one to 12 channels, and may be configured in upright or flatbed form. The instruments use high-speed felt-tip pens with a maximum speed of 1600mm/s and acceleration up to 78m2. Each pen has its own individual A/D convertor operating at a high sampling rate, and can be configured for the measurement of voltage or temperature. A built-in signal-conditioning card allows a wide range of thermocouple and RTD sensors to be selected individually for each channel. An integral digital printer generates date and time information on the moving chart, and updates the analogue traces with digital measurement information at periodic intervals.
Input voltage ranges are from 0.1mV to 200V full scale, and measurement accuracy is 0.05 per cent of reading plus 0.03 per cent of range.
