USA licence to supply Boeing Military aircraft

Keywords Attewell, Military, Aircraft, USA

The UK company, Attewell Limited, a Hampson Industries company, has been granted a licence by the US Government that will allow peelable shims and solid spacers to be supplied for a number of front-line military US aircraft being manufactured by Boeing in St Louis, Missouri. The licence, which is being awarded against USA offset deals, will enable the company to compete for business from Boeing valued in excess of $250,000 per year for well into the next century.

Attewell has been supplying major aircraft manufacturers in North America, Europe and Asia for a number of years and has recently won orders from Boeing's commercial aircraft operation in Wichita, Kansas, that are likely to exceed $1 million in value in the first year.

This is the first time, however, that the London-based company has been involved with military aircraft programmes in the USA.
