TW Metals has announced that its Cryofit® and Cryolive® shape memory alloy fittings have been approved for use on the Dassault Aviation Falcon business jet.
Manufactured by Aerofit Products Inc. of California, USA, the Cryofit and Cryolive ranges of cryogenic fittings and couplings are distributed worldwide and exclusively by TW Metals.
The Dassault Aviation Company approval represents the first European business jet maker to specify Cryofit and Cryolive fittings, although there is a long history of supply through TW Metals in the USA to business jet manufacturers. Shape memory fittings are currently in use on Boeing, Gulfstream V, Premier 1, Lear 45, Hawker Horizon and Global Express business jets for hydraulic and other system applications.
