Technical Indexes, an IHS company, reports the availability of Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) documents including all Joint Aviation Requirements (JARS), associated Administrative & Guidance Material (AGM) and Notices of Proposed Amendments (NPAS) to the world-wide aviation community. IHS Engineering signed a five-year agreement to be the exclusive distributor of JAA documents, therefore allowing Technical Indexes to make them available in the UK (www.techindex.co.uk). The JAA information can be purchased separately or as part of a subscription to Technical Indexes' existing AV-DATA product, the most comprehensive database of aviation information requirements and regulations.

JAA documents covered under the agreement include three basic types of information: Joint Aviation Requirements (JARs), Administrative and Guidance Material (AGM) and Notices of Proposed Amendments (NPAs). JARs include Advisory Circulars Joint; Advisory Material Joint; Acceptable Means of Compliance and Interpretative and Explanatory Material. NPA's include draft proposals for public consultations to propose a new JAR or modify an existing one while AGMs cover various JAA activities and JARs including Joint Implementation Procedures as well as Temporary Guidance Material, Interim Policies and leaflets.

The JAA content will be available through Technical Indexes in a variety of formats including an Internet version, a CD version updated every 30 days or as a hard copy paper version.
