After 18 months of discussions between Flight Refuelling Ltd's research and development engineers and sales and applications engineers at Schaevitz Sensors, two pressure range types of the Schaevitz P960 series have been selected for Flight Refuelling's new air-to-air refuelling pod MK 32B-900 Series.

The all-electronic beam welded structure, and the high SX over load feature that the P960 Series offers, coupled with the reliability and durability of the Schaevitz product range, was reportedly viewed totally relevant to Flight Refuelling Ltd's requirement.

Spanning over a year's development work, the production of the new pod is well underway. All testing carried out by Flight Refuelling Ltd is said to have shown the two P960 series to be totally suitable for this demanding aerospace application.
