A new simulation environment for research department

AMERun is the run-only version of AMESim, a numerical simulation software package developed by French company Imagine to study fluid dynamic systems. It is described as providing design offices with powerful, cost-effective, ready-to use capabilities for exchanging models with end users who might not be experts in modelling and simulation. AMERun addresses engineers, technicians and salespeople who need to rapidly test and display different options for systems designed with AMESim.

AMESim (an acronym for "advanced modelling environment for simulation of engineering systems") is used for application-oriented studies into the dynamic behaviour of circuits or components, where an "application" can be an injection, braking, transmission or cooling system, for example. This application-oriented approach is believed to make AMESim an ideal choice for R&D departments in the automotive, hydraulic engineering and aerospace industries. The engineer designs a system using the integrated AMESim libraries. Model selection works down through various levels of complexity, and each is thoroughly tested, personalised and validated.

AMERun claims all the features of the standard AMESim environment, as well as the interface with Simulink; and supports full variation in model parameters. With this run-only version, the engineer can display and analyse simulation results and optimise system sizing accordingly. Powerful tools like FFT, linear analysis, animation, parameter sensitivity analysis are fully integrated and require no additional coding.

According to Imagine the full spectrum of AMESim features can be harnessed to customise the application as required, with end users accessing relevant information only. AMERun also provides a simple, intuitive environment for secure transfer of protected, customised models produced using AMESim.
