Aircraft with security means for preventing skyjack

Keywords: Aircraft, Security

In GB Patent 2354991 Samai Ahmed Abdel Azeem describes an aircraft with security means for preventing skyjack. Hidden cameras and a screen enable a pilot to observe personnel in the aircraft and identify a potential skyjacker. A steel cell is constructed beneath part of the aircraft floor and is provided with a hydraulically operated door, operable by the pilot. If a perceived skyjacker comes near to a cabin door, the pilot may operate the cell door to cause the skyjacker to fall into the cell which has means for spraying an anaesthetic via a pump. The cell may also be provided with a hydraulic lift.
