ETB's first chief executive

The UK's Engineering and Technology Board (ETB) reports the appointment of Alan Clark as its first chief executive. Alan graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath in 1973. He also holds an MBA from the University of Hertford, Connecticut, awarded in 1980.

Alan's early appointments after graduation were followed by an extensive period between 1981 and 1994 with General Electric (USA), both in the USA and in Europe, where he was vice president, Electrical Distribution and Control. Most recently, he was with Novar plc (formerly Caradon plc) as chief executive of their Intelligent Building Sector.
