PACE and IBM sign Teaming Agreement

PACE and IBM sign Teaming Agreement

IBM Global Services and PACE Aerospace Engineering and Information Technology have recently entered into a Teaming Agreement to promote knowledge-based engineering software solutions for product design acceleration, automated product documentation generation and process optimization in the aerospace industry.

To better meet the customers' demands in a growing and rapidly changing market environment, PACE and IBM laid the groundwork for future joint initiatives in the product life cycle management market by signing the Teaming Agreement. Both partners will now be able to boost their potential in the aerospace industry by promoting joint or complementary solutions. To this end, PACE's in-depth aerospace know-how combines with IBM's end-to-end solution capability.

Integrating knowledge-based engineering applications based on the software platform Pacelab into IBM's PLM environment has already been demonstrated successfully. The precedent for cooperation between both companies was set when PACE's aircraft configuration software Pacelab Cabin was coupled to IBM/Dassault Systèmes' CAD software CATIA V5 which has long been the established industry standard. This joint solution adds PACE's knowledge-based design acceleration to IBM's product life cycle management suite, allowing cabin engineers and technical marketing experts to enjoy the combined potential.
