Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited (HFT), British designer and manufacturer of Weld Purging Accessories, has extended its range of flexible welding enclosures, which were developed originally to provide a low cost alternative to traditional metal vessels.

Previous HFT enclosures have been circular in section but developments in manufacturing technology now afford opportunities to produce square and rectangular enclosures.

Currently the company is able to manufacture these enclosures up to 2 m long and 1×1m in section.

The first deliveries from the new product range have already been shipped.

The enclosures are manufactured from Ultra Violet Radiation resistant PVC with the bottom half being translucent and the upper half optically clear for excellent vision for welding.

All enclosures are manufactured with two sets of glove ports with sleeves and gloves, with extra sets being specified at the time of order.

In addition, an entry lock is fitted for small parts to be taken in and out without loss of purge quality and an exhaust valve allows continuous purging so that impurities can be expelled during welding.
