Cranfield University has again been recognised for its excellence in teaching by three highly respected organisations in the manufacturing sector; the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET – formed by an amalgamation of the Institution of Electrical Engineers and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers) and the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS). Two of Cranfield's renowned postgraduate manufacturing programmes – MSc Operations Excellence and MSc Manufacturing – have received accreditation from these three organisations through the Engineering Accreditation Board.

Successful completion of either of the courses will contribute towards the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer.

Professor John Kay, Head of Manufacturing at Cranfield, expressed his support, “Accreditation for these courses will be of great benefit to both the students and for the manufacturing sector, and further illustrates our commitment to developing professionals who can meet the business and technical challenges of the future.”

Cranfield's MSc Operations Excellence, developed in conjunction with Rolls-Royce Plc., develops professionals from a variety of manufacturing backgrounds into high calibre leaders and thinkers capable of delivering significant business benefits.

Cranfield's Manufacturing Masters programme benefits from support for the individual and group project elements of the course from a number of prestigious client partners including Airbus, Aston Martin, BAE Systems, Coca Cola and Johnson & Johnson. This course provides the opportunity to specialise in one of three core areas; Engineering and Management of Manufacturing Systems, Management and Information Systems and Manufacturing Consultancy.
