New staff member joins the School of Applied Science, Nanyang Technological University

A new faculty member joined the Division of Information Studies of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in November 1997. She is Susan Higgins, who attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona for both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Library Science degrees. After working for several years as a children's and young adult librarian in public libraries in Arizona, she was awarded a Library Fellow scholarship, and attended Florida State University's School of Library Studies, where she received her PhD. Her main teaching subjects are library service to children and young adults, young adult psychology, user studies, and public libraries. Her academic interests also revolve around international children's literature.
