The Latin American Magazine of Management (Revista Latinoamericana de Administracion or Revista) and Corporate Governance: the international journal of business in society are pleased to issue a dual call for papers about Corporate Governance in Latin America. During 2008, both of these journals plan to co-ordinate and to publish separate special issues about this topic. Papers may be written in Spanish, in English or in both languages.

Topics

Papers on all topics pertaining to corporate governance in Latin America will be welcome. Especially encouraged are works that explore research questions, collaborative works and comparative works. Some possible source disciplines are accounting, economics, ethics, finance, law, management, organizational behavior, political science, and sociology.

Journal submissions

Authors may submit a paper to either journal or may submit one paper to both journals. Each journal will review submitted papers independently using peer reviewers. For Revista papers must be submitted in Spanish, and accepted papers will be published in Spanish. For Corporate Governance (Emerald), papers must be submitted in English, and accepted papers will be published in English. In preparing papers, authors should follow the Manuscript Requirements of Corporate Governance (Emerald) posted at www.emeraldinsight.com/cg/notes.htm All submissions are due no later than 1 September 2007, and each submission should indicate that it is for the respective journal.

Conference submissions

Authors are invited to submit paper written in Spanish, in English or in other specified languages to CLADEA (www.cladea.org/) which will meet at Florida International University in Miami, Florida (www.fiu.edu/) in October 2007 and to submit paper written in English to the Business Association of Latin America (BALAS -- www.balas.org ) which will meet at INCAE in Alajuela, Costa Rica (www.incae.ac.cr/EN/ ) in April 2007.
