Polyclad Laminates Malaysia receives ISO 9001:2000 certification

Polyclad Laminates Inc., a Cookson Electronics PWB Materials and Chemistry business, received certification to the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System (QMS) for its operation located in Kuching, Malaysia. SIRIM QASSdn. Bhd. conducted the independent, third party certification. ISO 9001:2000 certification connotes that Polyclad Laminate Kuching is compliant to International Standards Organization (ISO) quality management systems and has demonstrated its ability to consistently provide products that aim to enhance customer satisfaction. It is now the only standard in the ISO 9000 family against which third-party certification can be carried. ISO 9001, ISO 9002 and ISO 9003 have been integrated into the new ISO 9001:2000. Polyclad Laminates Kuching is currently working to achieve ISO 14001 certification, the international environmental management standard. Certification is anticipated in early 2003.
