Good news for PAL Europe

Good news for PAL Europe

PAL Europe (the European arm of Hong Kong- based Process Automation International Ltd) is in celebratory mood. Two recent orders for Ni-Au lines and good news on the surface finishing front are the reasons behind the smiles and celebrations.

Stevenage Circuits in the UK and Ruwel of Germany have both ordered Electroless Nickel/ Gold lines – the one at Stevenage Circuits is now installed and in production; and the Ruwel line follows the order, and successful installation, of a record breaking plating line (at 5.75 m it is the widest so far made by PAL) that was in production by the first quarter of 2003 (Plate 3).

Decorpart, of Nelson in Lancashire has signed a letter of intent for a fully automatic anodising line, with huge output, for anodising pharmaceutical cans and ferules for the production of nebulisers (their expansion plan takes into consideration the fact that an increasing number of drugs will be administered in this way in coming years); and Abrasive Technology, with sites all over the world, has ordered a Nickel plating machine for their Colwyn Bay facility, for plating dentists' drills and instruments used for varied tasks, such as abrading hard skin build up.

“Yes, it's good news all round, we're delighted,” says Bruce Norsworthy, Managing Director of PAL Europe. These an other “good news” stories including news of orders for the MCP-PAL machine – and the story behind its development; and of orders from around the world (PAL had installed 1283 machines in 35 countries), appeared in PAL News, published in mid-May. Copies are available from PAL offices around the world.
