Abstract

Parents, work and childbirth Paid paternity leave and an immediate increase in Maternity Grant to £114 are two of the main recommendations in an EOC report on parental leave and benefits at childbirth. The report covers current legislation on maternity provisions, compares the UK with other countries and looks at possible ways of meeting the needs of parents. It includes recommendations for immediate improvements and identifies key areas for medium and long‐term reform.
