Abstract

In contrast to the paper from Bernard Doré of Booker Belmont, this one from Safeway Food Stores gives us the benefits of centralised distribution. As the title suggests, the province of this article is the specialised area of perishable goods. D M Bristow has been involved in the business of distribution for Safeway since 1962. Prior to this he was a Director of John Gardners Supermarkets, one of Safeway's processor companies, and has been dealing with their distribution needs for 12 years.
