Abstract

Since research in the social sciences is predominantly library‐based, social scientists must have a particular interest in the best possible organization of library services; and so they will particularly welcome the main recommendation of the Report, that the library departments of the BM (including the NRSLI), the NCL, the NLLST, and the BNB should be brought within a single administrative framework.
