Abstract

COMPOSITE wooden construction has long been the rule in Russia for a great variety of aircraft types: fabric and/or plywood skins on a metal and/or wooden framework are to be found in airframe components side by side with all‐steel or light‐alloy components. Some aircraft types are even of all‐wood construction.
