Abstract

Details of Electrical and Electronic Apparatus with Applications in the Maintenance and Operation of Aircraft, Missiles and Space Vehicles. At a recent demonstration at Hatfield, de Havilland engineers provided a convincing display of the manner in which a Bendix P.B.20 autopilot can be tested automatically by means of the T.R.A.C.E. 202 system (Tape‐controlled Recording and Automatic Check‐out Equipment). The P.B.20 unit involved was a standard operational type currently in use in the Boeing 707—the unit having been loaned by British Overseas Airways Corporation for the demonstration.
