New Materials

Abstract

Brief Particulars of Recently Introduced Materials likely to have Aircraft, Missile or Space Vehicle Applications. Admel International Ltd. have introduced a new Melinex‐based drawing material, known as Super Permatrace. This can be used with all types of inks and pencils, and erasures will not impair the surface of the material for subsequent modifications in either medium. The material is almost impossible to tear and it is dimensionally stable—movement due to temperature is 0·00025 mm. per deg. C. As the surface is an integral part of the material it will not crack or peel off and creases will not show on photoprint copies.
