The Open University

Abstract

THE Open University — an imaginative scheme to bring university‐level education to all — has had a good start to its programme since it opened its doors for registration at the beginning of the year. Within three months more than 25,000 applications were received and these are still coming in at the rate of between 500 and 1,000 a week.
