Abstract

Concorde 002 flew again on August 12 from Fairford when it went supersonic for 17 min. and reached Mach 1·15 at 35,000 ft. during a flight which lasted 1 hr. 46 min. Two days later it stayed supersonic for 41 min. of a 1 hr. 47 min. flight and attained a Mach No. of 1·35 at 40,000 ft., equal to its previous peak Mach number, although 001 was flown up to Mach 1·5 with fixed geometry intakes.
