Abstract

AT AN early stage in Hawk design, it was decided that ailerons and tailplane would use hydraulically‐powered flying controls without manual reversion. The flying control control system employs push/pull rods exclusively to transmit pilot demands to the flying control surfaces with friction and backlash reduced to a minimum.
