Abstract

Now that Concorde has been in service with two of the world's major airlines for well over half a year — and that means a lot of air‐miles for a supersonic aircraft — it is time to see how the day‐to‐day problems of maintenance are being ironed out by two very experienced operators. And, although the number of flights per week is still very few, it is worth noting how many countries this SST visits. Bahrain and USA in the case of British Airways; USA, Venezuela, Senegal and Brazil by Air France with occasional stops elsewhere on scheduled service plus a few Very Very IP charters for both lines.
