Abstract

Including speakers from the Civil Aviation Authority, Cranfield Aviation Safety Centre, Accident Investigation Branch of the Department of Transport, the Air Transport Users Committee, the RAF Institute of Aviation Medicine and Airlines, a symposium held recently at the Royal Aeronautical Society addressed itself to the problems of passenger cabin safety. Many topics were aired, some of them generating controversy in the discussions, and a considerable amount of information was put forward about the present regulations and the changes that are being embobied in the wake of the Manchester accident.
