Abstract

SO THE government's plan for admission charges to national museums and galleries, so long bandied about, is to be implemented from January next. The Paymaster General, Lord Eccles, has stated that, ‘Estimates for 1973/74 allowed for increased spending on the national museums and galleries on the assumption that part of their requirements would be met by a full year's receipts from admission charges’.
