PEANUT RESOURCE
Abstract
Choosing Food is a new resources package for health education aimed at children in the 9 to 13 age range, published by the National Peanut Council of America (NPCA). The NPCA, established for over 50 years in the United States, is the export market development organization for the US peanut industry. The activities of the NPCA in Britain have included the production of a range of professional and public nutrition education leaflets, the sponsorship of the healthy eating and fitness video project Fitness for Men (produced in conjunction with the Royal Society of Medicine), sponsorship of the recent school FEAST campaign to increase the consumption of healthy school meals, and the creation of the American peanut butter lovers' fan club.
