Infotrieve launches a new e print and reprint service
Infotrieve appears to be integrating paid for document delivery with the vast amount of material that is freely available on the Web, but that it is not necessarily so easy to find. Taking a leaf out of the book of National Libraries?
"Securing rights to reprints from copyright owners can be a messy and time-consuming process", said Wes Crews, Infotrieve CEO and president. "Our new service is a logical extension of our core business. We act as an intermediary between publishers and our customers who need the articles and other documents we secure for them. Our long-standing ties with publishers around the world help us manage the reprint process quickly and efficiently, which means new convenience to our customers.
"Infotrieve provides the same services for electronic reprints (ePrints) of materials appearing in electronic format – for example, for incorporation into a Web site or electronic newsletter. Infotrieve can also manage ePrint distribution."
