Infotrieve takes up DOIs and introduces secure electronic deliveryA leading provider of on-demand information and information management solutions, (InfoTrieve) announced today its plans to be the first company to use CrossRef’s digital object identifiers (DOI) as the core identifier in its OpenURL implementation. This event demonstrates growing support for DOIs as the digital standard for universal article identification. The CrossRef service employs DOIs to enable users to move from one article to another at the citation level and to be one to two mouse clicks away from full-text articles, regardless of the journal or publisher.
