The Tricept range of robotic machining centres are to be made more widely available in the UK and Ireland through the appointment of a network of agents and added-value integrators responsible for sales and service (see Plate 4). This follows an agreement reached at EMO in Paris (5-12 May) between Bauromat (UK), Pershore, and the Swedish manufacturer, Neos Robotics, whereby Bauromat will act as a business development centre to market the 5- and 6-axis CNC machines, which compete with hexapods and conventional machining centres.
Bauromat's remit is to appoint and work with agents, systems integrators and OEMs to develop turnkey applications in a number of different fields. In addition to metalcutting, they include laser and friction welding, laser and water jet cutting, automatic assembly, transfer lines particularly in the automotive industry, wood machining and aerospace component production.
